Sanna's List O'Comics

It started out innocently enough. In the summer of 2001, Shanin told me about Sluggy Freelance, and urged me to go read it. I tried; it just didn't catch my interest. Then, about six months later, while I was poking around Sev Web, I found a link to Sluggy, and said to myself, 'Alright! I'll go try this one more time!' Famous last words. I got hooked. Badly hooked. Then I got my roommate hooked. Then I got my brother hooked. Then he got half a dozen of his in-town friends hooked, plus another dozen friends in a whole other state that he met at a summer camp! Eventually I'd get another handful of friends at college hooked, including my boyfriend (who, I SWEAR, of his own volition, dressed like Torg even before he knew who Torg was!!). And so it spreads. But one was not enough, oh no. About the time I got Quartic, my bf, hooked on Sluggy, he turned around and hooked me on Userfriendly. And then my roommate had found College Roomies and Faans. And so it spread. It was just a short jump from there to Keenspot, then Keenspace... will it ever end? Maybe not. For we have joined the craze with a comic of our own, Silicon Cherry. Then I realized that I had too many comics that I was reading for me to keep all the addresses in my head, for those days I was away from my computer and my handy Favorites list. Sluggy Freelance http://www.sluggy.com * * * * *	Rating: PG. Not recommended for younger than 13. They just won't get it. Notables: Torg, Riff, Zoe, Bunbun, Kiki. Plot: Heros get themselves in and out of various amounts of random trouble, including aliens, demons, vampires, dimension-hopping, oh did I mention Satan's cats? Written and Art by: Pete Abrams, and this is his life. Er, livelyhood. Updated: Daily, including weekends.
DubThis.net * * * *	Rating: G Notables: Paul, Pete, Suzie, Ken, Autumn, Barry, Brittany Plot: The adventures of a college Anime club. MANY Anime references and 'in-jokes'. Written and Art by: Scott and Luke, and they are college students. Updated: Comics Tuesday and Thursday, artwork Saturday.

It's Walky! * * * *	Rating: PG, occasionally PG-13 Notables: Here we go..... Danny, Joe, Joyce, Sarah, Mary, Howard, Ruth, Billie, Sal, Walky, Jason, Tony, Mike, I know I've missed about a third... Plot: It begins with Danny and Joe in college, follows them for about 3 years, then segues to the SEMME storyline, which is a government agency that fights aliens. Really quite good. Written and Art by: Willis, and he might be a college student? Updated: Daily!!
Megatokyo.com * * * * *	Rating: PG-13. Notables: Piro, Largo, many female Japanese names that I can't always remember well. Plot: Piro drags a drunk Largo to Japan on a wild hair, and they max their cards and can't get home. Piro sets out to find a job to get tickets back, but Largo keeps spending the money on 'stuff' and b33r. Two girls like Piro, but all three are painfully shy. Plus, two acidic females manage to mess things up juuuuust a liiiiittle..... Written and Art by: Fred Gallagher, an adult who USED to have another job. Updated: M/W/F
Mac Hall * * *	Rating: PG-13 Notables: Plot: It's a vanity comic, about guys in college. This one has been much hailed by many sites. What 'plot' there is is good; the graphics are awesome; it's not consistently funny like Sluggy, but when they are Really Funny, they are REALLY FREAKING FUNNY. Written and Art by: Ian McConnville (art) and Matt Boyd (writing). College students. Updated: Whenever they feel like it. More or less once or twice a week. Sometimes.
Penny Arcade * * * ...?	Rating: R. They like to swear. A lot. Ok, maybe PG-13. But maybe R. Notables: Tycho and Gabe. I think Gabe is the dark-haired one. Plot: It's a vanity comic. It's also guy-humor. And game-humor. LOTS of game-humor. If you don't know stuff about computer and console games, and the real-world happenings behind them (yes, there ARE real-world happenings...), you won't get this comic. As If * * *	Rating: PG. Notables: Angela, Hunter, Peter, Tony, Sandy Plot: Kids in high school in the 80s. Hunter is brash, Angela is shy. Rosie is a brat. Sandy is a total Big Hair Chick, and Tony is in love from afar with her. I never thought I would enjoy the 80s. Written and Art by: Two chicks, age unknown. Scatterplot * *	Rating: PG, maybe 13. I read it awfully fast. Notables: Charles, Steve, a couple of chicks. Plot: Two freshmen guys in college. WTF Comics - EQ Humor	Rating: G Notables: Anna, Straha, Smoke, Penywise, Kiran, and Three Gnomish Monks. Plot: Anna, a new druid in Kelethin, follows the powerful Iksar warrior Straha in search of her long-missing father. Straha reluctantly looks after her, and the duo pick up the Troll Shaman Penywise and the sassy Human Monk Smoke, all the while continually intersecting with the Vision's three Gnomish Monks. Updated: not always a super clear schedual.

S'koshi List S'koshi is Japanese for 'small' or 'little'. There is a growing number of what I consider 'little' comics, and while I want to keep up with them, I don't want to do a full make up on them. So, here is my S'koshi List.
Omake Omatsuri - Began May 2002. Two girls recieve a device that will allow them to travel to other anime dimensions. Updated Mondays.	HomeStarRunner.com - Not a 'comic' in the tradional sense of the word. The entire site is done in Flash, and it's dang stinking funny. And addictive. 'Everybody, everybody... lah dee doh dee doh!' Updated generally Mondays.
Strings of Fate Gorgeous art. Good story, a bit soap opera-y. Gorgeous art. Deals with the Chinese Zodiac, and another one of those epic wars. Did I mention the gorgeous art?	Wapsi Square Simple and funny. Good characters with a minimum of memory required. Updates M/W/F. Now on Keenspot!
Life of Riley - Jobs, Rent, Fallen Angels, and early on some Avalon references too. Went through 360 strips in one day. Not bad.

Annie the Hardcore Gamer http://annie.keenspace.com Annie loves playing games. So does Grace. They're rivals. Throw in a bunch of talking game systems (PS2, XBox, Dreamcast) and a Smooth Criminal reference, and it's enough to amuse me.	Nekopan.net - April-December 2002. Polymer City Chronicles.com Button by Sanna! * * *	This is only down here b/c ppl younger than 18 probably ought not be reading this comic. Rating: PG-13 / R. This one is NOT for the kiddies. Notables: Dr. Otto Bahn, Andrah, Sheeri, Gray, Lynn Deanna Jones, and Mistress Laura. Plot: Initially a gag strip, he has since started into a rather intriguing arc that only intersects the two main charactors through the third... Once you get past the, ahem, jokes: Sheeri, a technical alien, thinks her parents have been killed, so Otto enlists the help of Grey to take them all to find out why. And Laura just likes making bad and dangerous situations worse. Written and Art by: The one guy, and this is more or less his livelyhood? Updated: T/H
Joe Cartoon	WHY IT'S DOWN HERE: I can see how some individuals would find the humor in microwaving gerbils. It's the bloody explosions that bother me. But I guess that's just me.
Exploitation Now	WHY IT'S DOWN HERE: What I saw caused me to come up with the following words: Crude, vulgar, shallow, and why the heck does he look like a pig? In short, it wasn't even a Neutral Comic; it turned me off, and away.
